THE CHURCH'S DANGEROUS WAIT

I'd like to tell you a story, a historical fact that happened in the sixteenth century: the Spanish invasion of Mexico.

For this, I must tell you about "Quetzalcoatl" who was "the Saviour of the Aztecs of Mexico".

It is said that he was born of a virgin and was tempted and fasted for 40 days like Yeshua. He was crucified, then raised from the dead, and left for the East, promising to return with the fair-skinned gods of the East.

This is what all the people believed when Cortes, at the head of the Spanish caravels, arrived in Mexico, coming from the East with light-skinned men!

An entire country was taken for a ride by not knowing how to interpret the spiritual language, by understanding literally what in reality had a hidden meaning, by treating according to the letter what had to be approached allegorically and according to the science of mysteries.

Today, we're not so different from those unfortunate Aztecs who were ignorant of the true meaning of their tradition. We treat EXOTERICALLY what should be understood ESOTERICALLY. We look outwards, when we should be looking inwards!

So let's not be surprised when People emerging from a fleet of flying saucers from the far reaches of the universe tell us what we misunderstand and misinterpret!

What has happened can still happen, because there's nothing new under the sun!

And it could happen to our misfortune, because many Christians await the "Second Coming of Christ" in the same way as the Aztecs awaited the return of their messiah: without having understood the true meaning of these things...
