THE 5 LAWS OF THE GIVER

In Acts 3:6, we discover the first law, which is in fact the last. Indeed, we read the following:

Then Peter said to him, "I have neither silver nor gold, but WHAT I HAVE I GIVE YOU;

In 1 Corinthians 4:7, we discover the intermediate or middle law. Indeed, we read the following:

For what makes you different? WHAT HAVE YOU THAT YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED? And if you have received it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

In John 3:27, we discover the higher law, the one at the beginning of everything. Indeed, we read the following:

John answered: a man CAN ONLY RECEIVE WHAT HAS BEEN GIVEN TO HIM FROM HEAVEN.

These three steps reveal that it is through the "heavenly gift" that we are enabled to be "earthly givers". These three steps inevitably lead us to the question HOW DO WE RECEIVE FROM HEAVEN?

The first answer is given in Acts 2:33:

Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

A second answer, which completes the first, is given in Hebrews 10:35-36:

Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, YOU MAY RECEIVE THE PROMISE

These two answers allow us to postulate this:

HEAVEN ONLY GIVES WHAT IT HAS PROMISED TO THOSE WHO HAVE BELIEVED AND PERSEVERED IN FAITH OR TRUST.

So let's sum up at this point:

I give you what I have, only after I myself have received it from heaven, which has finally fulfilled what it promised me. For heaven always begins with a Promise, an Announcement.

Before that, I have nothing of my own, so I can't give anything away. So I can't experience on earth THE HAPPINESS OF GIVING THAT IS MORE THAN THAT OF RECEIVING. For the hand that gives is the one that dominates.

A final question inevitably arises here: HOW DO WE OBTAIN PROMISES?
